Mosephine (Erin "Erne" Murphy) sounds like "an underwater spaghetti western," scored and seared with electrified vocals, guitar, and atmospheric textures. Performances have been called "simultaneously heartfelt and terrifying," with influence from artists like Patti Smith, Patsy Cline, and musique concrete.
Having also been part of the Equines, Teach Me Equals, RedRumsey, and joyful collaborations with artists across North America, Murphy's odyssey exploring multimedia folk art has expanded from dance floors to film scores and other digital mediums, weaving those experiments as accompaniments for Mosephine stage performances.
